Interview Preparation - Mr. E. Pablico

During October in 2025, students in the Web Development 9/10 class have been interviewing teachers on their own subjects. One of the groups interviewed Mr. Pablico, a Social Studies teacher at Palmer Secondary.

Prior to the interview, a list of questions were compiled to ask questions and obtain useful information. The list are as follows:

How do you help students who are struggling in your class?
How can you help your students to stay motivated?
How do you make Social Studies lessons interesting and relatable for your students?
What is one misconception about Social Studies that students have?
Why do you think Social Studies is important?
How do you include current events in your teaching so that students can connect to their everyday lives?
What are students currently learning and working on in class?
What skills do students acquire throughout the course?
- What skills are useful in the outside world?
How do you manage teaching topics that might have to do with conflict, trauma, or other complex and difficult issues?

An email has also been sent to schedule the actual meeting time of the interview:

Dear Mr. Pablico,

I am ______________ (insert your name) from R.C. Palmer Secondary School, currently taking Web Development 9/10. We are working on a web newspaper project, and we believe your information is ideal for this assignment. We would like to invite you to an interview about the subject that you teach.

The interview will take place in your classroom. We will also need your permission to record this interaction's audio. We are available on ______________ (insert date). If the schedule here does not work for you, please send us a date and time when we would be able to interview you.
