Isaac
Grade 10 Student

An interview was held between one of our students and another person willing to participate in the interview.

Isaac is a student currently in Grade 10. His biology teacher is Mr. Liang. When asked about the contents he is learning, he says,

"We're learning about DNA structures."

When asked about the difficulty of the class, Isaac mentions that the tests are hard. However, if you actually study well and get prepared, you will do well on the tests Mr. Liang gives.

The most difficult part of biology class for Isaac is lab reports. He explains,

"Students are expected to put a lot of work and detail into [lab reports]."

Lab reports are required to be done after each lab, with as much related information as possible. They are meant to document your whole experiment. Other peoples should be able to understand your lab report, use it to replicate the same lab, and evaluate them.

Lab report requirements may alter from teacher to teacher if they have special instructions, questions, or content they want you to include.

Isaac's grade average for Biology right now is an 85%. He enjoys Biology because he is has an interest in learning about how our human bodies work. As for dissections, Isaac and his class has already done it on a cow's eyeball, his favourite dissection.

When asked whether Isaac prefers group projects or individual projects, he shares,

"I prefer group projects because we can work together with the different strengths we all have to make [the project] turn out better. "

In this short interview, Isaac has given us a glimpse of what it is like in his biology class. These are, of course, personal opinions and their own point of view.
