Incentive Biology Program - SC: Advanced Placement Biology 12
Requirements

-
B or better in Life Sciences 11 OR Life Sciences 11 Enriched
-
Science 10
-
Recommendation: a minimum grade of B
-
B = 73%-85%
-
-
B or better in Anatomy and Physiology 12 OR Anatomy and Physiology 12 Enriched
-
Students can also take either one above concurrently with Advanced Placement Biology 12
-
-
While there is not a specific cutoff for this course, a minimum B is highly recommended and needed

Other useful information:
-
Optional (recommended): B or better in Chemistry 11
-
This course is the equivalent of First Year Biology in post-secondary education
-
Lab work is advanced and extended
-
Mandatory labs
-
Examinable on the AP Biology Exam
-
Success on this exam will result in post-secondary credit for equivalent courses
-
-
-
First Year university credit for Chemistry: a combination of credits from high school and a minimum score of 4 on AP College Board Biology Examination (held in May)
-
Available through local universities like UBC and SFU
