Here at Palmer, we are fortunate to have our own French Club! Everyone is welcome, including students that just started. By joining, you get to explore French culture, engage in fun activities and games, and participate in special events. Mr. Amega's room, Room 122, is where the meetings will be held every Friday lunch. See you there!

Intended Audience

French Club is open to people of all skill levels, including beginners, intermediates, and advanced speakers! If you are looking for a community so that you can improve your French language skills, learn about their culture, or simply to have fun, this place is for you!

Purpose

French Club proudly states, "[Our] goal is to promote the diversity of Francophone culture and language. [We] are hoping to spread this awesomeness, and you can help by joining, so that we get more recognition."

Support for Students

The sponsor of French Club, Mr. Amega, is an experienced teacher currently teaching at Palmer. He is happy to answer any questions regarding to the French language with great detail and clarity. 

During club meetings, students can engage in conversations and discussions with peers, seniors, and the teacher. There will also be times where presentations will be held, either by students or the club. Most of our members love the games. Games are especially effective when you are just starting out learning a language. With competition, team, and solo games, there must be something that you will enjoy.

French Club Games

Jeopardy: compete against other teams or people by answering the fastest! A classic, loved by all!

​

Kahoot: another classic game where you are on your own trying to get the highest score out of all the other people. You earn points by answering questions correctly and quickly, so get prepared to outsmart your opponents!

​

Movies: another extremely effective way to learn a language. Bring snacks and enjoy the movie with your club!
